Frequently Asked Questions
What is Next Level Sports Performance?

Next Level Sports Performance helps athletes understand where they are, identify where they can improve, and build the skills and confidence to get there. We combine honest evaluation, professional coaching, and purposeful training to help athletes reach their next level.

What sports do you train?

We currently offer training for basketball and soccer, with programs designed around the specific skills and demands of each sport.

What ages do you work with?

We work with youth and high school athletes. Training is adjusted to the athlete’s age, experience, position, and current ability level.

Where are you located?

We have locations in Cheyenne, WY and Gillette, WY.  In Cheyenne, we train at Northside Gym.  In Gillette we train at the Pronghorn Center and Recreation Center.

Does my athlete need to be an advanced player?

Not at all. Next Level is for athletes at every stage. Whether your athlete is just getting started, trying to make a school team, or working to earn a college scholarship, we meet them where they are and help them move forward.

What happens when an athlete starts training?

We begin by understanding the athlete’s current abilities and areas for improvement. From there, we develop training that targets the skills that will make the biggest difference.

Can parents watch training sessions?

Absolutely! Parents are welcome to watch training sessions. We encourage parents to see the work their athletes are putting in and support them throughout their development. To help athletes stay focused and get the most out of each session, we ask parents to allow the trainers to lead without interruption.

Do you evaluate athletes?

Yes. Evaluation is a major part of what we do. We look at baseline skills and athleticism to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for growth. A complete and comprehensive evaluation is conducted with every player we train.

What does a typical training session look like?

Trainings are small group (maximum 9 athletes) and last 1 hour.  Sessions may include skill development, movement and athleticism, decision-making, sport-specific drills, competition, and game-related situations. Our sessions are fast paced, intense, and challenging. We don't believe in simply keeping kids busy.

How often should my athlete train?

That depends on the athlete’s age, goals, experience, and current schedule. For many athletes, consistent training 2 times per week provides a strong foundation and consistent growth. Athletes with more specific or competitive goals may benefit from additional training.

How much does it cost?

Our pricing is simple.  For group sessions we charge $250/month for 8 sessions. We also offer a drop-in option for $35/athlete but we cannot guarantee that there will be spots available. Ask about individual training availability and pricing.

Do you offer scholarships or discounts?

Yes.  We offer multi-family and referral discounts.  If price is a significant barrier, talk to us and we will work with you.

Do you guarantee that my athlete makes a school team or get a college scholarship?

No—and we won't promise that. What we can promise is professional coaching, purposeful training, honest feedback, and a commitment to helping athletes improve. Ultimately, progress depends on the athlete's effort, consistency, attitude, and willingness to apply what they learn.

What should my athlete bring to training?

Athletes should arrive ready to work with appropriate athletic clothing, sport-specific shoes, a water bottle, and a willingness to be coached.

What makes Next Level different?

We offer high level training at a highly affordable price.  Also, we aren't interested in shortcuts or empty promises. We help athletes understand where they are, put in the work to improve, and develop the confidence to compete at their highest level.
