Frequently Asked Questions
How are sessions grouped?
Athletes are grouped by level: grade school, middle school, and high school to ensure age-appropriate training and competition.
What happens in a typical training session?
Each session includes a structured warmup followed by three rotating stations. Athletes work on ball handling, finishing, shooting, playing with contact, decision-making, agility, plyometrics, and confidence building.
How does the membership work?
Choose a monthly plan (4 or 8 sessions), then book training times that fit your schedule. Sessions reset each month and do not roll over.
How does the app work?
Our training app provides skill-specific workouts athletes can complete at home to reinforce what they learn in sessions and accelerate development.
Who are the trainers?
Training is led by Sam Shumway and a team of coaches who follow a proven, structured training program focused on real game improvement.
Is this program competitive with others?
Yes. We provide high-quality, structured training at a more reasonable cost compared to many programs in Colorado and other markets—without sacrificing results.
Can I create my own group training session?
Yes. You can form your own group and receive discounted rates. Email us at northsidecheyenne@gmail.com to set up a custom program.
Do you offer individual training?
Yes, individual sessions are available. However, group training is typically more effective and cost-efficient due to competition, repetition, and game-like situations.
What is a drop-in session?
A drop-in session is a one-time training option with no commitment—perfect for trying it out or adding extra sessions.
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes. We offer a free trial and consultation session as space allows. These are booked separately.
What should athletes bring?
A basketball, water bottle, and proper athletic shoes. Come ready to work.
